Treatment services
Stockport’s drug and alcohol services offer many different kinds of help, support and treatment. Treatment can involve structured sessions with a drugs worker, counselling, joining a group looking at things such as assertiveness and self confidence, being given substitute medication e.g. methadone, having complementary therapies e.g. massage and Reiki, and much, much more.
There are needle exchanges and for current or ex drug users who are ready for a new challenge, the Progress2Work service exists to help people find a job, go back into education or join a training course.
